Volunteer Opportunities

Kent County CERT Classes

Victim Volunteers:
Volunteers are always needed to be victims in our CERT classes. These roles don't require taking the class, but can be a fun way to volunteer your time for the Red Cross! Volunteers will simulate victims involved in disaster scenarios, including role playing realistic injuries created with latex based make-up. Volunteers can be any age, but parental consent is required for minors.

Safeties:
If you have already completed the CERT class, then you can be a safety at our Triage, Search and Rescue, or Final Exercise class! Safetiesensure that students are remaining safe during exercises and not getting into danger. Anyone who has finished the class can be a safety!

Instructor or Continuing Education Instructor:
If you have completed the class and have some expertise relevant to the program that you are willing to share, we are more than happy to have your assistance. If you are interested in becoming a certified CERT instructor, email Tamara Habib for more details.

Community organizations welcome to schedule private classes!
